Hi Cra8tive, I suggest you to run a LCD BIST by following the below steps to determine if the screen is working fine: (1) The Computer needs to be turned on. (2) Remove the VGA cable from behind the monitor (the cable that connects the monitor and the computer) (3) Now check if you see colored lined on the monitor. As expected when it started again I had the file system corrupted message but this time, PS3 could not repair and notified me formatting is my only option. Turned to safe mode, tried to restore the file system from there, and it is just stuck on "Preparing" for ever.
